Beauty is all around in the most ordinary of places. Colors, textures and form can be overlooked because we do not "see" what is always there. By isolating a portion of a scene or subject, whether natural or manmade, a new perspective may be revealed. I choose certain images to remind us that we do not need to travel to exotic locations to enjoy the gifts at hand.

After eighteen years of optometric practice in the suburbs of Chicago, Rhonda Peters decided to take some time to pursue her longstanding passion of photography. She currently resides in Goldsboro, North Carolina with an overly exuberant yellow lab, Belle; an "into everything" cat, Lionel, and a Clinical Psychologist husband, Steve.
